2. Japanese Food Guide Spinning Top Japanese FoodGuide SpinningTop[1] is an illustrated tool for daily food choice. This tool is providedby Japanese Min-istry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. In the following, we call this tool the Guide for short. Figure 1 is the illustration. This guidance consists of the following components. Thus, the Japanese vegetarian food guide (JVFG) was developed and based in part on the American Dietetic Association position paper for vegetarian diets and the Japanese Food Guide Spinning Top.
